The most loved 10 brands in Europe 2016 list is no surprise

Brand Love List report released by NetBased places Apple in the top of the most loved brands across UK and Europe

For the first position on the list, tech giant Apple has received over 400,000 more customer mentions than Google and seven times more than Lego, which have ranked second and third place respectively.

To put the list together, data on brands from all sectors has been collected by using NetBase’s social media listening platform registering UK and European customers’ preferences during April 2015 and March 2016.

The list of the most loved 10 brands in UK and Europe resulted as follows:

  1. Apple

  2. Google

  3. Lego

  4. BMW

  5. Adidas

  6. Chanel

  7. Tesco

  8. Audi

  9. Ferrari

  10. Porsche

Paige Leidig, Chief Marketing Officer at NetBase, commented on the results:

“While it’s not altogether surprising that Apple came out on top if we look beneath the surface it tells us that here is a company that has created an enviable passion among its consumers. Alternatively, look at Tesco, why is it the only food and beverage brand on the list, where are the likes of Lidl and Sainsbury? The answer is because it has worked hard to build a strong relationship with its customers and they want to express their love for it.”

“Understanding consumer preference is more than simply measuring the volume of social media content it’s about understanding the intensity of passion and feeling in those posts,” Ms. Leidig concluded.
