A 4-year old girl from Florida suffered a tragic death after finding her grandma’s gun in her purse while searching for candies
When the tragedy took place, the little girl was visiting her grandparents, Michel and Christie Zoller in North Tampa. Both of them were home at the time of the accident that lead to the death of the little girl.
The girl’s father, Shane Zoller, spoke kind words of the girl’s relationship with her grandparents.
“She was extremely close to them and would get so excited when she got to stay at her nana’s house,” he said. “She was attached to her nana’s hip.”
Tampa police continue to investigate the shooting; however, they said that there is no reason to doubt the Zollers’ story.
After the medical examination, it has been reported that the girl died of an accidental gunshot wound to the chest, which perforated her lungs, aorta and esophagus.
The father was on his way to pick Nelly up when he saw police cars in front of the house. “She just wanted some damn candy,” he said to the reporters
The family has launched a GoFundMe page to raise the necessary money for Nelly’s funeral.
