Donald Trump set to meet the Mexican President

Enrique Peña Nieto and Donald Trump are set to meet in Mexico City today, as the Mexican President has invited both American presidential candidates to visit his country

After the logistics and security concerns were sorted out, Trump decided to accept the invitation of the the Mexican President.

The potential visit of Donald Trump comes after the sensitive matter of 11 million immigrants living in the United States illegally came into the public attention again.

The meeting will take place just hours before the U.S. Republican presidential nominee is expected to explain how he plans to tackle the illegal immigration matter.

Both Trump and the Mexican government accepted the private meeting. “I have accepted the invitation of President Enrique Pena Nieto, of Mexico, and look very much forward to meeting him tomorrow”, Trump tweeted.

After threatening to deport 11 million illegal immigrants, Trump reconsidered his opinion and stated that “there certainly can be a softening because we’re not looking to hurt people. We want people – we have some great people in this country.”

As a part of his immigration reform, the Republican candidate want to use an E-verify system for employers of foreign workers, deport immigrants who have committed crimes and stop immigrants from staying in the country longer than their visas allows them.

Currently, while awaiting for this year’s elections on November 8th, Trump is behind his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton in most of the national polls.
