Breathtaking Space Photos Showcase Hurricane Florence

The ISS captured stunning pictures of the hurricane Florence and astronaut Alexander Gerst shared them with the world

What’s a real nightmare on Earth looks like an impressive view from the ISS, according to Alexander Gerst who tweeted pictures of the now Category 2 hurricane Florence:

“Watch out, America! #HurricaneFlorence is so enormous, we could only capture her with a super wide-angle lens from the @Space_Station, 400 km directly above the eye. Get prepared on the East Coast, this is a no-kidding nightmare coming for you. #Horizons”

Gerst went on to add that seeing the hurricane is chilling, even from space, and shared an additional of three pictures that speak for themselves.

A video of the Category 2 Hurricane Florence has also been shared by NASA and it needs no introduction.

Millions of people in the US are in the path of Hurricane Florence and are getting ready for a storm that it’s believed to land on the continent on early Saturday morning.
